bukvoedСижу с брошюрой из Доброго Самаритянина в руках, переношу расшифровки надписей на мозаиках в старый пост о музее. И вдруг, в пункте о "мозаике с жирафом" из синагоги в Газе:
"{We} Menachem and Yeshua, the sons of the late Isses {?}, merchants of timber, as a token of thanks to the most holy place, have donated this mosaic in the month of Lous {in the year} 569 {=508 CE}."
Хм, что за месяц такой ? Что за летоисчисление ? В гугле меня, кажется, не любят. :)
И кстати, Давид с арфой - он из той же синагоги или из другой ?
