Компанию мандатным бронепоездам составляли бронедрезины, полученные путём переобувания и бронирования автомобилей. Часто такие дрезины сцепляли попарно, корма к корме. Из вооружения замечен вездесущий пулемёт Льюис.
To protect locomotives from strikers waiting to blow them up, the Palestine Railroad procured several 113 1/2 in. wheelbase Ford V-8 trucks fitted with flanged wheels to enable them to run on rail tracks. Each V-8 was equipped with protective armour plate and proceeded in advance of 1 trains. The V-8 ran far enough ahead of the train to give warning of hostile Arab bands and to keep them off with rifle and machine gun fire before the arrival of the train.
Later the Ford V-8 trucks were coupled together, end to end, to enable them to be more heavily protected with armour plate and to carry more machine guns with a larger complement of armed men. (Albany Advertiser, 31 May 1937, via mr_fix)

"Suicide Squad" in Palestine. Armoured rail cars manned by Royal Engineers and Royal West Kents are being used on railway protection service in Palestine. They perform a very dangerous job as they travel in front of all trains looking for land mines placed under rails or bridges. Because of the danger, they are nicknamed "The Suicide Squad". Sometimes they fail to locate mines and their armoured car gets blown up or derailed. To give them some measure of protection against this danger, they are now trying out a minesweeper. This is a small trolley loaded with heavy weights and pushed by an armoured rail car with the object of exploding the mines before the armoured car gets directly over them.
